When Scania installed a new production line in Argentina, the requirements were clear: extremely high precision and reliability in a system-critical process. If the equipment stopped, the entire production line would stop.
Finstansteknik developed a solution capable of maintaining micron-level tolerances while running continuously in production. After development and testing in Sweden, the equipment was delivered and installed in Argentina, where it now produces thousands of components with consistent precision.
Scaling production at Weland Stål
The challenge looked different at Weland Stål. As demand for steel components increased rapidly, production capacity needed to scale without compromising efficiency or quality.
Together with Finstansteknik, the solution became multi-operation tooling that combines several manufacturing steps in a single press stroke. By integrating punching, bending, tapping and forming into one operation, production capacity increased significantly while handling and manual steps were reduced.
